April 24, 2014: The Board of Directors has updated and approved
Revision 6 of our organization's by-laws
(86k pdf) that has brought in a number of
important changes. In addition to an overall "cleaning"
of some language and standardization of our official "GCAK"
abbreviation, we have formally added the Events and Fundraising
Committees to the Standing Committee section. Duties of each
committee and the Board positions have been clarified. And most
importantly for our Sourdough members, we have eliminated the calendar
year membership cycle and replaced it with a rolling 12-month membership
year that will be based on your original date of membership.
Sourdough members will get a renewal notice on the anniversary month of
your joining, with your membership fee due at the end of that
